Guest guest
Well I don't know you Cherie but can certainly appreciate your gratitude for what you have...and your struggles. Sometimes it's just committing to getting through the moment. God Bless you. Anne
Guest guest
Hi Cherie! It's great to see your post. I'm sorry to hear that you are not doing better on your one year anniversary, but let me just encourage you! I did not feel better after one year either! I even clearly remember feeling worse about 18 months post explant. I remember it clearly because we moved to Las Vegas, and I used that as my excuse to quit my job, rather than quitting because of my illness... I felt so poisoned I wanted to die. It was a horrible time for me. I did not start REALLY healing until I was closer to 2 years post explant, and after I had become so fed up with not making significant progress that I decided to do some serious fasting. Have you ever considered fasting as a therapy for you? It worked....within 3 days of water only fasting, I had a rash on my breasts that showed I still had crap (chemicals, toxins, whatever) in my breasts that needed to get out. And remember, I had a total capsulectomy! What kind of doctor are you working with? Are you on any prescription drugs? What are you doing to get better? It was my naturopathic doctor who supervised my first fasts. I had asked my rheumy to supervise me on a fast and he was incredulous, yelling at me, " What would I want to do that for? " . I fired him and went to the naturopath (Dr. Lance in Tucson) who was happy to help me. The book that got me fired up to fast was Dr. Fuhrman's book " Fasting and EAting for Health " . In that book, he talks about all kinds of people with all kinds of diseases that were healed through fasting. It's a hard therapy to complete, but after doing a series of fasts, I felt alot better and my health has remained great for many years now, post explant. I just offer that as a suggestion for ANYONE seeking to move forward in healing and getting off that plateau of no progress. Yeah! You got to go to Disneyland with your daughter! Sounds like it was a great trip for you both, and I'm glad to hear you survived okay! Cherie, I believe God has better days in store for you where your health is concerned. That's awesome that your business is going great...it's a tough economy, so not having to worry about your income is a blessing. Stay hopeful, stay positive, and stay prayerful that God will guide you to the right answers for YOU. Guest guest
Hi Cherie, I'm 3 years post-explant and it took me longer than a year to improve. In fact, I notice that there are times of the year where my symptoms get worse - seems like I feel worse in the summer. Before implants, all of my ailments got better in the summer, but implant related things seem to be worse for me in the warm weather. What are your symptoms? Guest guest
Thanks Anne for your kind words. What I have really learned going through all of this is to appreciate what you do have. Guest guest
Hi Patty! So good to hear from you! I really appreciate all your encouragement, it means a lot! The only detoxing that I have been able to do is the detox baths, which I stopped a while back because they were starting to make me feel more exhausted and really, really draining me. I am still unable to take any supplements. My swollen sinus's are still an issue, the left side turbinate is still almost swollen shut. It has now been that way for 13 months. Everything I try to take, gives me a sinus headache. I'm seeing a internal medicine doctor and she is sending me to an ear, nose and throat doctor. She tried me on pancreatic enzymes for the squeezing around my chest, but my sinus's were on fire from it. My sinus's react to everything I take now. I have not ever tried a fast. Right now, I am dealing with anxiety that has moved into my chest....badly. I thought maybe it could be my adenals. But I tried taking an adrenal supplement my nathropath gave me and well...got a sinus headache. The longer I try taking something, the worse my sinus's get. I am taking Darvocet, xanax and sucking on a lot of mints, those do no give me sinus headaches. Not sure if I could get thru a fast. It's really hard to describe this feeling that has moved info my chest. My doctor wants to send me to the ENT before seeing a gastric doctor since my sinus's do not seem to want to allow me to take anything. I stopped seeing my natropath in the spring since he was not helping me and just got me in debt with tons of supplements. He had put me a stict diet and I was on antifungals and never felt better. I just try to eat the best I can and that's about it. I drink nothing but water. My body seem eto just stop me every time I try to help it. Just been doing the best I can. When you started your fasts, is that when you really started to notice you were feeling better or did it take time until you felt better? Thanks for your help Patty. God Bless! Guest guest
Hi Sis, My symtpoms have been gastric and digestive issues. I have squeezing around my chest after eating, sometimes it doesn't show up until 2 hours after I've eaten. I now have anxiety in my chest and sometimes I get a pressure in my throat, kinda feels like I have something caught in my throat. I have swollen sinus's and the left side has been swollen almost shut since Sept of 07. I am very bloated all the time and I have a hard time digesting my food. Its very slow in digesting. I'm very sensitive to medications, supplements and vitamins. Cherie > > > > Hi Cherie! > > It's great to see your post. Guest guest
Hey Cherie, Wow, you are really suffering from these sinus infections! It sounds very, very frustrating! You've given me a couple clues that make me think two things: You mentioned the squeezing in your chest, which makes me think " gallbladder " or " liver " , and when I went to check on the internet for sinus infections and " liver flush " , I found this website: http://curezone.com/FORUMS/am.asp?i=24869 Cherie, I really think you may glean some really good ideas on this site. I see three things you could do right now to try to get some relief, and those would be: 1) Liver flush 2) Parasite cleanse 3) Fasting I say liver flush because it sounds like you could have a sluggish gallbladder. Allergies are usually very much present when there is a sluggish liver/gallbladder. A series of liver flushes can do wonders for clearing up allergies and I've even read posts where people have cured their LUPUS through liver flushes. I say the parasite cleanse because that seems to be a factor for some of the people posting on that site as well. I also noticed that some people were posting about some very significant dental issues that contributed to chronic sinus infections that went on for years, so don't dismiss any possible dental issues as well. And finally, I found fasting to bring healing after a period of time, though I felt immediate benefits, such as increased energy, removal of any and all joint pains by the 3rd day, and overall a better feeling. I firmly believed that fasting was doing alot of cleaning out inside that couldn't happen any other way. It just makes sense that with no work of digestion to do, your body will start to work on clearing out all the " junk " that's sitting around in our bodies, and make use of what it can and get rid of the rest. The liver is rejuventated through this rest, and the liver is a huge part of our ability to detox. For that reason, it seems to me that with your digestive issues and chronic infections, a fast may be a very good idea for you. I also found it very comforting knowing that fasting has been a part of a spiritual walk with God for centuries, and that many, many people partake of fasting on a regular basis. Reading Dr. Fuhrman's book was highly motivational because of all the success stories. Cherie, I believe that the answer is right around the corner for you. I know you can beat this and get better....but perhaps the reactions to all the supplements is a sign that your body seriously needs some flushing and cleansing that goes much deeper. Pray about the liver flush, the parasite cleanse, the fasting and the dental work and do what you feel comfortable doing. I am sure God will give you peace about the path you are to take. Guest guest
Hi Patty, Thanks for your advise. I actually tried a liver flush last year before the explant and had proceeded to itch all over by body...it was AWEFUL! I swore I would never do that again. Not sure if I could bring myself to try that again. I had my galbladder removed about 6 months after my symptoms started last year and I actually got worse after that too. My naturpath had put me on a parasite cleanse at the beginning of this year and I got doubled over in pain from what he was giving me so he took me off of it. See this is where my frustration comes in, I have tried everything, except fasting. However I do not feel I could do that right now, I need my meds to make it thru the day. Thanks for the website. I'm going to check it out and see if there's anything else I can try. Love and hugs, Cherie > > > > > > Hi Cherie! > > > It's great to see your post. Guest guest
Hi Cherie, I'm very sensitive to supplements as well, so I've never been able to do the detoxing that some have been able to do. However, there are a few things I can take on a regular basis that I'm actually not sensitive to. Normally, if I try to take a supplement of any kind, on the third day I start to develop a sensitivity to it - which I've read is what happens to people with chemical sensitivity. One thing that does not bother me at all and actually improves my digesitive issues immensely is Culturelle - it's a probiotic. I know some here have used other probiotics but this one has worked quite well for me without any problems. Recently I started taking Cod Liver Oil with Low Vitamin A - because in the past I got Vitamin A toxicity. I'll probably skip taking it for a few days, though, just to be safe, but I don't have to skip taking the Culturelle. Guest guest
Cherie, I'm sorry to hear you went through a gallbladder surgery...the itching after your liver flush was a sign it was doing some work in the liver! For some people, liver flushes must be done in a series (like every 2 weeks or so) and there have been some great successes with disease healing and so many other conditions. I know it's hard to do...but worth it if healing happens! I'm not sure if having the gallbladder removed is an issue for doing a liver flush now....the curezone forum would be a great place to check that out. That is where there are many discussions of liver flushes and the results that people are getting. Yes, it sounds frustrating for you....I guess you are going to just have to live with it, or else keep trying new things until you find something that works. It's up to you to find the therapies that you can live with....keeping in mind that herx reactions like you had with the liver flush are probably going to be part of the process. If you have never done fasting before, it may be a very good option, because it is easy, free, can be done at home, and VERY effective for the body! Cherie, there is one more very, very vital part of the healing process. It is the therapy called BELIEVING in the possibility, and living out the belief daily. It's not just in believing God for it, but in believing in yourself to get it done. God provides the strength. I'm praying for you! Guest guest
Hi Sis, That's great that you can take culturelle! I think its so important to take probiotic. I however have been unable to take it, gives me sinus pain. That's why my Dr. is getting me into an ENT doctor, I believe once my sinsus happy, I will be able to take other things I need to help. Guest guest
Hey Patty, I had done a liver flush using magnesium citrate last year. Is that a good one? If I try it again, what do you recommend as starting out slow and the itching not being so uncontrollable and untolerable. Boy, I remember crying all evening long because the itching was so bad. Sounds like I need very small baby steps in flushing my liver. Your advice is greatly appreciated! Also, I have an extract of milk thistle, should I start slowly taking that too? I can see if it bothers my sinus's and if not could it be beneficial while doing series of liver flushes? Thanks for your prayers too! Guest guest
Cherie, There are different kinds of liver flushes and there are ones that do not use the magnesium citrate, but apple juice or lemon juice I believe. I think those flushes are listed in our files section. My husband and I have done the ones using magnesium citrate and those are discussed on the curezone forum. I would not do the liver flush with the magnesium citrate and the olive oil/grapefruit mix until you've read more about doing it from those who have had the gallbladder removed. The gallbladder is the storage organ for bile, and it will be squirted out as needed during digestion. The large amounts of oil used in Hulda 's liver flush might present a problem, but I don't know for sure. Milk thistle is a really, really good supplement for you to take if you have liver issues. In fact, if you can take this the rest of your life, this would be a good thing! I've heard of milk thistle doing some amazing things for people with liver issues. I'll try to post some info on the flushes and healing. Wishing you health!
