Guest guest
Chippy--N.O. was my home until we moved north when i was 3 but i spent all my summers in august on the bayou Liberty with family. Ah, the bayou in august..i can hear the buzz of the mousquitos and the rumble of the DTT trucks even now. This is New York City, so, what we do is, you know, we do that ball thing. My boyfriend is one of the mayor's drinking buddies so he and his two littlest are up there to help push that button. Me. I do not agree with Mike on one darn thing, politically, journalistically, morally, not to mention that he's a 5-billionaire who doesn't give enough of it away, like oh, maybe to the millions of destitute orphans of AIDS in Africa would be a start? Who thought he could just buy an election right after 9-11 when we were all sleepwalking stunned and turned out for 70 million (thats what he spent) you CAN buy the election. No suprisze to a good Lousiana girl...money buys offices there as a matter of history, but you gotta love the place. Anyway its election year again,(I happen to know he plans to spend twice that 70 million this campaign) so he's been walking around times square showing how safe it is here (NOT) since 6am, before dawn this morning!...this man gets up at 5 and doesnt stop until 11. I suppose if I had someone to wipe my nose, cook, feed me, wash my clothes, drive, think for me and serviuce me in every way, I could go all day too..... anyway.... a crab boil tongiht in New Orleans, what a great idea....we used to eat at Fitzgeralds on the Irish Bayou where they'd turn over a bucket of crawdaddies right onto the oilcloth table....mmmmmmm the food...i do miss my grandma's cooking, but i have her recipes and I know my son will always visit his mother..... happy new year girl in the Big Easy....I need to visit soon... love, leslie-Greenwich Village, Hip, Noisy, New York. > > Well I am in New Orleans and all kinds of stuff goes down here at the > stroke of midnite....But I am gonna do something different tonite.
