Darci,

I was living in Montreal when I had my ep in 99. I was in the hospital for

10 days before they could find a doctor to see me. Then another couple days

before I could get an ultrasound to try to find the baby. Essentially, if I

were diagnosed earlier, I don't think I would be as 'reproductively

compromised' as I am. They tried to treat me with metho... but I guess it

was a little too late because I ruptured two weeks later and had to have a

lap anyway. Then, they didn't have any laparoscopy equipment, so I had to

have the cut you open type of surgery... UGH!!! Anyway, I feel your pain

in this situation. What kept me sane was the I knew in a lot of other

countries I would have died due to the absolute lack of medical facilities.

I'm still alive and healthy. I also learned that I had no ethical qualms

about exaggerating my situation in the future to get attention!!!

I though the social medical plan covered IVF if you had a documented tubal

blockage? Maybe this is only Ontario. Where are you?

Regards,

Becca
