A1C : is 6.5 ideal?

I was A9'ing (www.a9.com) looking for info on how A1C is related to

the glocohemoglobin test, when I wandered across an article from

August 19, 2002:

Physicians Weekly magazine

A1C: Gold, but not quite standard

in a nutshell, the American College of Endocrinology [ACE] recommends

an A1C of 6.5 while the American Diabetes Association [ADA] recommends

anything less than 7.0
