Guest guest
I emailed my doctor before I went in for my shot of Neulasta. I was having trouble breathing. I saw the doctor who was at the clinic when I got my shot, was sent over to the hospital, my blood had to be typed and cross-matched again, and again I received two pints of blood. I was so tired Bob had to push me to the room with a wheel-chair, but I was able to walk out after almost 7 hours. It was a long drive home, but ok. Walking is the worst when the blood is so very low on oxygen. The Hemoglobin was 7.4, the lowest I have ever seen it on one of my tests. No wonder I was so tired. In any case, I am better from that. Today is the day the flu-like symptoms usually occur, anywhere from 46-49 hours after the Abraxane infusion. So, I usually end up in bed for abut 1 1/2 days. I hope it is better this time. Keeping up at home is the worst part of this, as my fatigue and weakness is high. I do not have chemo this coming Friday, it is my week off. The next one will be on Oct. 30th. I hope to gain some strength and have less fatigue this coming week. All for now. Lynda
