Bless your heart, Sweetheart. You have been through so much, but it is a good thing that you were sent to the hospital. The long drive back worries me, and have they given you an oxygen tank for emergencies? Bless Bob's heart for being there for you, he sounds so kind.

Honey, we will all pray that you will not have flu-like symptoms. Please stay in bed if you have to because that will help you to regain your strength. Could you try drinking high protein drinks, because that is what we used to give to my friend when she was so weak?

Stay close sweet Angel...love you.......Lea and

quick update on chemo

I emailed my doctor before I went in for my shot of Neulasta. I was having trouble breathing. I saw the doctor who was at the clinic when I got my shot, was sent over to the hospital, my blood had to be typed and cross-matched again, and again I received two pints of blood. I was so tired Bob had to push me to the room with a wheel-chair, but I was able to walk out after almost 7 hours. It was a long drive home, but ok. Walking is the worst when the blood is so very low on oxygen. The Hemoglobin was 7.4, the lowest I have ever seen it on one of my tests. No wonder I was so tired. In any case, I am better from that. Today is the day the flu-like symptoms usually occur, anywhere from 46-49 hours after the Abraxane infusion. So, I usually end up in bed for abut 1 1/2 days. I hope it is better this time.Keeping up at home is the worst part of this, as my fatigue and weakness is high.I do not have chemo this coming Friday, it is my week off. The next one will be on Oct. 30th. I hope to gain some strength and have less fatigue this coming week. All for now.Lynda

Lea,

I don't need oxygen. I need a maid. Bob pushed me from the

admittance area to the elevator and up to the next floor. I could

never have walked that distance, maybe in an hour's time. I would

have had to stop and rest 10 times.

The driving is not so bad, but the physical labor of the yard and

house are what gets me.

I cannot use most high protein drinks, as they are dairy or soy. I

have a hemp one I am going to try. I do get plenty of protein. I

work on that.

Thanks for caring. I must rest now.

Love,

Lynda

Lynda,My heart goes out to you . . . I wish we could be there to help you.If there's anyone who can beat this, it's you! . . . Our Superwoman!Hopefully you'll feel better soon. I finished radiation Wednesday and am already beginning to feel a bit better. I only wish that the powers that be would put as much energy into finding the CAUSE of cancer as they do in treatments. I believe that much cancer is a result of living in a toxic environment.Hugs and prayers,Rogene
