Guest guest
Since I've been sitting home with my silly broken ankle, I've become a bit more sentimental, I think (or maybe just a tinge of feeling sorry for myself for being cooped up?!). But I started to cry yesterday morning when I got this email. It is from my cousin (she's around 50 -- and is the technology director for the elementary schools in onur town). She was at Teddy's school on Wednesday. " Hi Kerri, I was working with some teachers in the conference room outside the principal's office yesterday. In the hallway we heard a little voice reading to an adult. Something made me look. It was Teddy. He was reading with fluency and skill. So cute. I did not interrupt. " My baby is a fluent reader! He's only 5.5, in mainstream kindergarten, and he's reading up a storm. I am convinced that having the closed captions on our TV since he was born, along with lots of therapy and work and such, was a contributing factor in his early ability to read. But frankly, it's kinda unbelievable! :-) --kerri Proud Mommy to Teddy
