Guest guest
I went in today to have an office hysteroscopy with a surgeon at Brigham and Women's in Boston. This was supposed to be for a complete diagnosis. I was then going to take the results and get a second opinion with Dr. Isaacson before scheduling any surgery. Looks like I don't have to do anything. I had a HSG a few weeks ago. The Dr. had to use a balloon catheter because the regular one wouldn't work. There was definitely scar tissue at the base of my uterus over my cervix. It appeared to be holding the sides together. When my Dr. went in today, there was a piece of scar tissue just hanging from one side. It came off with the scope. It appears that my uterus is normal and healthy looking. No further treatment is recommended. No signs of endometriosis were apparent either. I know that has been mentioned for women whose cervix has been blocked. I had my first period in 6 months last week after my HSG. I'm hoping everything is alright, although I'm hesitant. I guess we'll see how my cycles are after this. I just can't believe after all this waiting and worrying, that it is over. I'm excited, but hesitant. Thank you all for your support through this. I gained so much knowledge. And I didn't feel so alone. P.
