I am so glad you went ahead and took her in...I was really relating to you Sunday night...we go in tomorrow, but shouldn't have to stay long...I hope she perks right up and starts eating so you can get home...

I hope Asenath is continuing to improve. Not sure on the red gums, but have noticed the same thing in the recovery phase from metabolic crisis. Don't know if it is the same thing or not. Will keep you in our prayers that you guys get to come home tomorrow. Take care.

Darla,

When I had not seen any post from you in a few days I figured Asenath

was in the hospital. I want you to know my heart goes out to you. This

is all so scary. When are they going to place the G-tube? Audrey has

done so well with hers and she has so much more enery now. I only hope

Asenath does as well. Please know that we are all praying for Asenath

and your family as well. Keep us updated as time allows.

Prayers are with you all,

Kathy, grandma to Audrey, 17mos

Asenath in Hospital

I just got out of the room for a little bit and saw the chance to get online so here I am. We took Asenath to the ER on Sunday evening and they placed her in the hospital due to her inability to handle her viruses. She was dehydrated, had another ear infection, and was very immoble. Still trying to figure out how much damage was done with the SLE. She is walking for the first time this past hour. (It is Wednesday) and is all over the place. I took her down to therapy to see if there was one available to peak at her. Her OT did and said she left side and her trunk were definitely affected. also, strangely her gums are bright red. Any idea what this is? She won't eat or drink so they don't want to let her go home yet and are considering a NG tube until Mayo can place the G-tube. It has been a long, frustrating week! I will try to update again tomorrow, hopefully from home!Darla: mom to Asenath_________________________________________________________________The new MSN 8: advanced junk mail protection and 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmailPlease contact mito-owner with any problems or questions.
