Guest guest
Hi Hazelpone, It was actually by Dr Cohen's suggestion we get the vest but Miranda's pulmonologist prescribed it. You can take a look at it as www.thevest.com I hope this helps. -- Re: suction machine- Hi , Which doctor (specialty) prescribed the suction machine and vest? Thank you for your response, you are not butting in. Even though I often put a name,it is to make sure the person sees it, but I like anyone to respond. Anything that relieves my suffering is helpful. God bless, Hazelpone Re: e-coughing/clear throat/suction machine I don't mean to butt in here but.........Miranda has a very similar problem and we have been using a therapy vest for her and it has made a huge difference. Its like a generator that has two hoses sticking out of it. Then they attach to an inflatable vest. The generator pulsates the vest at a set speed and it shakes all the chest secretions loose. Then we do have a suction machine ( that is paid for by the insurance) and if she can at least get it part of the way up, we can suction out the rest ( which she absolutely despises when we do it) The Dr's prescribe all of Miranda's medical equipment and the insurance pays for it. ( she has a feeding pump, pulse ox, suction machine, two nebulizers and the vest) I do think the therapy vest has made a huge improvement in Miranda's respiratory health. She used to get pneumonia constantly and has not had it since she has been using it. Please contact mito-owner with any problems or questions.
