I wanted to share my experience with my t-shaped uterus.

I got pg easily wiith my son in May 2000 and delivered him at almost 42 weeks.

I did not know then that I had a t-shaped uterus. I had no problems with IC or

PTL. I did have some complications in delievery that was due to being in labor

too long.

I only realized about 7 weeks ago that I had a t-shaped uterus. My mom did take

something to prevent miscarriage in late 1971 but she does not remember what it

was. HSG showed a definite t-shpaed uterus and my other reproductive organs are

very much consistent with DES expsoure.

I found out two weeks ago that I was pg. I am currently 6weeks and 3 days pg.

I have already had an u/s by the RE to make sure that it was not ectopic. My

HCG numbers look good and the baby is not implanted near the tubes. I do know

that my uterus can handle a pg since it made it to carry a 9 lb baby past due.

Re did say there is a higher incidence of m/c if baby implants too close to the

T.

However, I did want to reassure you that things can go well with a t-shape

uterus with very few complications!

T-shaped uterus and pregnant - any advice

Hi folks. I am 5 weeks pregnant and have a T shaped uterus. This is

my first pregnancy. My mom says she did not take DES when preggo

with me, but the HSG I had done a few years ago shows that I have all

the signs of DES in utero exposure (t shaped uterus, one set of

withered tubes). Now that I am pregnant, I am concerned about the

rate of miscarriage and other problems I have read about online

associated with t shaped uterus. Does anyone have any input or

advice? What warning signs should I look out for? Has anyone else

had a successful or failed pregnancy with a Tshaped Uterus?
