Guest guest
Lia, who is UD, was answering my post about NST's (Non-Stress Tests) which I am currently undergoing twice per week to be sure my baby is reacting normally (not under stress). These are being done, in my case, because I have had a couple of later term losses and my OB is just trying to be sure that this baby is not under distress. (I am not UD, but kind of a BU/SU mix - I've had my septum resected, but my uterus has a dip at the fundus. It's heart-shapted.) NST's are performed by belting your belly with the fetal heart monitor and another belt to measure any uterine contractions. You push a button every time the baby moves and it all comes out on graph paper. As for the IUGR, that's intrauterine growth retardation (sp?). I don't know if this is specific to UD's - that would be a question for Lia. My baby was at-risk of IUGR because of my blood coagulating problem. My specialist performed ultrasounds to measure the baby every couple of months to be sure she didn't have IUGR and put me on extra folate to help prevent IUGR. That's all I know. Hope that helps! , age 33, BU/SU resected after 5 losses 37 weeks pg. ---------- >From: MullerianAnomalies >To: MullerianAnomalies >Subject: Digest Number 1592 >Date: Wed, Dec 17, 2003, 10:29 AM > > Date: Wed, 17 Dec 2003 18:08:04 -0000 > From: mherschel@... > Subject: Re: Non-Stress Tests (preg. mentioned) > > >> I have a question.
