Remicade (is it worth it?)

Hello, everyone! I usually lurk, but today I have a question. I'm seeing a new GI doc now (just moved to NM) and he is going to start me on Remicade beginning this Wednesday. I've read a lot about terrible side effects and was wondering if anyone has any input to their experiences with this med. We are going to try this route, as I've been on Immuran (200mg/the max I can do) for 5 years now w/o any relief for my UC, been bleeding practically everyday since my diagnosis. I am concerned to try this not only while still on the Immuran to first see if the Remicade will help me, but on it's own as the list of side effects I've found are pretty scary.
