Guest guest
sandy, the doctor will want to know how often and how much the drains are putting out, if someone could pick up a medicine measuring cup from a pharmacy, that would be great. Or 1 tsp =5ml so if you have a measuring spoon at home you can sub with that. i came home with drains yesterday and i'm using a marked measuring cup which of course will be thrown away after all this. your nurse, even if she couldn't read the instructions, should have gone and found out what it said. Bad on her part. each surgeon is picky with their bandages so you should call the on call number and someone will return your call even on the weekend. also when you talk with them, see if they can call something in for your n/v, maybe phenergan-it helps with n/v, makes you sleepy. good luck and let us know!
