Guest guest
Gladys, Glad to hear your surgery was a success. Dr Palter is so nice and at the same time, very knowledgable and experienced too. I am so glad everything seems to be okay for you. I had the balloon inside for two long weeks and I took Cipro (antibiotic) for the entire time as well as the estrogen. I also had to see my local OB three times to check for infection. Dr Palter is very concerned with this, because it could start the whole process over again and none of us want that. Try to lay down whenever possible and also, don't do any heavy exercise or walking. The balloon was the most uncomfortable for me the first 4 days and the last 3 or 4 days. In the beginning, I also felt like it was jiggling around inside of me and when I walked it was particularly annoying. The last few days were the worst because I felt like it was not sanitary or clean anymore and I was just disgusted with the whole thing. Knowing that I was doing what the doctor told me to do, kept everything in perspective for me. Hang in there, the worst is over. Try to rest and relax as much as possible. Also, tell Dr Palter I said hello if you get a chance. Hope to hear all the details after you get a chance to speak with him when you are not so groggy. Guest guest
Hi Gladys I am glad to hear that Dr. Palter was able to remove all of the scar tissue and your surgery went well. You sound as if you are recovering nicely. Yes the catheter is uncomfortable but on the bright side you only have a couple of days left before it is OUT. Good luck, always praying for you Audrey > Hi everyone, > > Thanks Audrey, Kristi, , Poly and everyone for your wishes > and prayers. My surgery went well. According to Dr Palter my uterus > is scar free. He removed the thick band which stuck the sides of > uterus together at one end and also removed a flat scarring on the > other end. I have a catheter inside and he intends to leave it there > for 2wks, however he said he would remove it earlier than intended if > there is any sign of infection. I am seeing him again tomorrow, he > wants to monitor me closely because of infection. > > I am on antibiotic which I will take for 21days and also estogen (1mg > x 2) which I will take for 20days.
