Guest guest
Happy 4th July everyone. I've tried sending you 2 celebration cards but they don't seem to have got onto the site. I don't know why. Hope you all have a great day. Love Robyn (from Australia)Melinda Hohenberger wrote: Hi Fonda, Thanks for the fourth of July card. I hope this finds you feeling well. Hope you have today off and could just sit by a beach with a good book--textbook, NOT!! How is your summer going? Are you in classes or just working? It is beautiful here. I went nuts and bought a bunch of flowers and need to get them in today after church. I will be bringing my son to visit my parents for two weeks in August. I swore I would never ever visit in the summer, much less August; but Daddy is going downhill at an increased pace and my mother is just about to collapse, plus her blood pressure has been off the wall (200/110). The doctor told her not to drive anymore, which hurts and is inconvenient, but she will obey orders. What do you know about HYZAAR? I am off to see my best friend at the Lake of the Ozarks on the nite of the 19th--(fly all night) and return on the 31st. It will be good for the kids and Bob to be together and also he is taking them to see Clapton at he Rose Garden in Portland. Both of my kids like him and Bob thinks it is really cool that his kids like someone he grew up with. I would go but I will be in MO. I plan to catch that bass that broke my line last summer. well, I didn't mean to write a novel. Take care everyone and have a safe and happy fourth celebrating our freedom. I am going to watch the Boston Pops presentation tonight.Hugs and LOve,MelindaPlease visit our website at:http://ACES_Autoimmune.tripod.com Find local movie times and trailers on Yahoo! Movies. Guest guest
Dear Dawn, The taxes get you every time even in Australia! I'm off to hospital tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it (strange as that may seem). I've had at least one, possibly more, fissures in my anus for the last month. It is revoltingly painful to go to the toilet - and with my crohns that's at least 6-8 times a day! I'm on medication and creams but they don't seem to be doing much. Tomorrow they are giving me a general anesthetic so they can get a proper look at my anus. It is too painful for me for them to look without the anaesthetic. The surgeon is then suggesting I go to a bigger hospital in Sydney for another operation where they put botox into the fissures to help the healing process. Because of my bowel control problem with the crohns they don't want to treat them in the normal way because I would then have even more problems. Has anyone else had these fissures? Any suggestions for how to cope? Has anyone else had this botox injection treatment for them? (((Hugs))) Robyn"D. Dale" wrote: Thanks for the well wishes Robyn! Guest guest
I guess they have already tried giving you gels & creams that deaden sensation right? Weird about the botox thing...I recently read about them using botox to treat interstitial cystitis actually. Good luck with the hospital appointment. I hope that they can figure out something to make your problem better somehow! I have had similiar problems but luckily mine never last more than a few mths. hugs, Dawn --- robyn bray wrote: > Dear Dawn, > The taxes get you every time even in Australia! > > I'm off to hospital tomorrow. Guest guest
Robyn, Ouch! It sounds horribly painful. I haven't had to deal with fissures (yet), but I had a fistula & abscess while I was pregnant & it was bad. You're in my thoughts & prayers. Guest guest
I haven't personally had them, but I have had many patients over the years with them--and hope I never have to deal with them personally. As far as I've been able to determine there really is no way to cope with them without pain--of course we had patients doing medicated sitz baths etc, but that wasn't exactly comfortable either since the water makes them hurt. And of course with as active as your Crohn's is you just can't get away without pain. They weren't using the botox yet when I was still working--well, at least not for that. But I'm sure that would help--well, in theory I'm sure, never having had a patient that had it. Hope you feel better soon! Hope they get that Crohn's under better control for you, too. (((hugs))) and I'll be thinking of you. Kathy Re: Fonda and all Dear Dawn, The taxes get you every time even in Australia! I'm off to hospital tomorrow.
