Guest guest
Hi Grazia, is very highly respected around here. I have hear a lot of good things about him. There are also 2 dr Valle's around here...talk about confusing! There is Valle (the one I went to) out of Northwestern and there is Valle (I think he works out of Lutheran Gen and Highland Park). Anyway, Valle, as I have come to learn since my last resection, is probably the more skilled of the 2 (and he is MUCH more compassionate than ). Our members Heike and Sylvia had their successful resections done by Valle. Sylvia, unfortunately, holds the record and has had 3 surgeries to resect her SU. I know that did at least one of those, but he did not give her much hope at the end and the SU was still there. She finally ended up going to Valle for her 3rd resection and it was a success. I think that Sylvia's case was very unique and that both Valle and are excellent drs. I think it's great that you are getting another opinion. Please tell your friend that their are 2 dr. Valle's. Valle told Sylvia that last year he had fixed SUs for several (I think 6?) patients that had originally gone to Valle but did still had their septum. I was upset when I heard that because I knew that I was just another example of 's poor work and failure to recognize that the resection was not successful. I just want your friend to make an informed choice before she sees someone. > > So, can you tell me more about you? Did you ever experience pregnancy loss? Was your septum the 'only' issue for you? I ttc for about a year and finally got pg but m/c at 12 wks in Dec 99. At the time that they did the u/s to confirm the m/c the tech found a " heart-shaped " uterus and later my ob/gyn did an HSG and told me I was BU. Luckily I had found this group before the HSG and knew that there was an equally likely chance that I was SU. I went to Valle for my dx and resection via lap/hys. My SU was still there after the surgery so I got several other opinions and decided to go to Rapisarda for my 2nd resection. Since it took us almost a year to get pg the first time, he suggested that we be aggressive and do IF treatments. Even though I ovulated regularly, he started me on clomid/IUI and later did inj/IUI. I got pg after 6 cycles and had my daughter, Veda on 10/2/2003. I'm very sorry that you have had many losses. Losing one was so hard, I don't know how you have done it. I hope that you get some answers soon. Good luck with your dx, Sara 36, SU resected x2
