Guest guest
I have a question for anyone who knows about the Islet Cell Transplant....Can you have this surgery if you are indeed already taking insulin but are not considered a " brittle " diabetic. At first I heard you could not but since then have read somewhere that you can???? Also, would the surgery be a problem if you've already had a Whipple Procedure done? My husband is really trying to push me to find out as much as I can about this surgery. I had the Whipple in Aug of 99. I just keep having the memory of that surgery and don't know if I'd ever want to go thru another major surgery. I continue going to PM. I've had 3 Intercoastal Nerve Blocks and just had my 2nd Celiac Plexus. The first one worked for about 2 months...this one didn't do anything at all. Believe it or not I still work everyday....I don't know how but I do. Shear will I guess. Thanks for any help anyone may be able to give. I pray for all of you to have a pain free or at least a less painfull day. Terri Looney
