Guest guest
Hi All, Can anyone tell me anything about this Kasai (also know as the hepatoportoenterostomy) procedure? I have researched it and it seems it is only done for very young infants and children with biliary atresia, yet a GI doctor actually talked about this with my adult son, but then the doc backed off of the discussion and it has never been mentioned since. Is this an appropriate procedure for the treatment of PSC? Has it been done and successful in adults with PSC? Thanks, Chris mother of Joe (32), UC 1987, J-pouch 1999, PSC, acute pancreatitis 3/
