Guest guest
Barb- We were only on Keppra for about 4 weeks. We never got even close to the full dose, and taylor was so tired and constantly drooled. For her it made her seizures much worse. We stopped it and I would never use it again. It works for some but we hated it. Good luck, Keri Keppra ? Hi all, Jake is on a small dose of Keppra (125 am and 125 pm) and for the last month or two he's been drooling quite a bit and has also been extremely tired. Lots of small naps during the day, unusual for him. Had raised the Keppra in June, up from 125 pm only. Wondering if any other Keppra users see drooling/tiredness as a significant side effect? Thanks, Barb Swoyer, Jake's mom
Guest guest
Barb - started Keppra this summer and is currently also taking Depakote. We are now at 250 mg am and pm, and I have noticed some very mild drooling. School has only reported seeing it once or twice. No tiredness, just seemed cranky for a couple of days after increases. Georgia Keppra ? Wondering if any other Keppra users see drooling/tiredness as a significant side effect? Guest guest
Jackie has been on kepra for about 2 years. We are slowly weaning it. Side effects can be excessive emotion (in our case tears, rage " You hate me! " statements), taking naps as Kepra peaks, and some drooling. Jackie is almost 8 and is on 125 mg in the am, and 250 mg in the pm. SHe is also on 250 mg of depakote in the am, and 250 mg of depakote in the pm. Some people say that kepra and depakote " go after " the same neurons in the brain, and there can be problems if things are not in balance. As we go down in the kepra, we have seen an increase in side affects of depakote. mother of Jackie age 7 keto since 12/10/
