Hello gang.

This is that not so Newbie guy in VA. () I have been lurking in

the back of the room and I was on vacation in Montana for a week. I

just needed to say that I really appriecate all the posts and the

love and support that goes on. We have a great thing going here. I

remember the relief I felt when I found a bunch of people that in the

same boat as I was in. I wasn't so alone. Still feel that way. Even

though I have great supporters around me- but they just don't get it

like you guys. And my main doctor just doesn't get it either. Better

leave it there and not get started on that one! (She is doing the

best she knows how- God Bless her!)

What struck me today and made me jump in was I got really sacred last

nite too. I had that blow'ed feeling and alot of pain yesterday and

was resigned to having to go the Doctor or ER. But by the grace of

God in seems to be alot better today. And I think about that

empending dume now and how it is always in the back ground or being

carried around on that backpack that seems to be really heavy some

days. You guys know it - right? What the future holds? And when is

that next big one coming? Will it ever be better?

Anyone know how to get those heavy rocks out of my back pack?

I welcome any feedback - funny or not.

Hello !!!

Seems like I talked to you a time or two, sent a few e-mails flying

back & forth, and then that was the end of " us " ? What happened

to " us " man?!!!! (oh, sorry, don't know where THAT came from!) But

anyways, HI~ and I'm glad you were able to " ride out the storm " of

that almost attack yesterday! And about these rocks?!? How about me

go over to my soon to be ex's house & unload our backbacks on his

windows? Do you think THAT might work? No?!? Well, if you come up

with anything better, please let me know. I'm still here, not around

much these days, but I'm trying to make it back, since the girls are

back in school & I have no one to play with anymore. boo hoo. Talk

to you soon, my friend, and hey! it was nice seeing ya around again!

Lots of Hugs,

Let's not do that just yet. Maybe if we all got a blow

up picture of ourselves - with our pancreas

highlighted and then used the rocks to throw at them

this awful condition we all suffer from. Like taking

the anger out on something. Those other people use

pillows. :) Anyone up for that? Or maybe a picture of

our old doctors? OK - I will stop now.

Dear ,

hmmm a dear letter, thats different for me...

I would like to share my reciepe for getting thru life. I learnt

two really important concepts that have smoothed the way

from AA and I wasnt even a member. But it is the best advice

I have come across in my 51 years on this earthly trip.

First ONE DAY AT A TIME. Rejoice in the days you don't have a flare up,

don't waste them worrying about the next one. From my experience with my

first Husband and now my grandson. You may have an attack for months and

then nothing for years. Try to allow your self the right to focus on each

day as they happen, be they good or bad.

Second, practice the AA Prayer

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change

The power to change the things I can

and the wisdom to know the difference.

I may not have it exactly right, but I tried.

You cant change the fact that your body isnt functioning properly.

You can't make others understand what you are going thru.

You can change your life style to lessen the chances of attacks.

And you can accept that this is your challenge and love yourself for doing

the best you can.

Life for each one of us is a struggle,

I myself have had my share. But maybe to someone else my problems would

seem insurmountable while another would see them as miniscule.

Why worry about the next one? Tomorrow you may be hit by a meteor or you

could win the Lottery, see where I'm going with this? Too many

possibilities. Put down your rocks and lighten your load. Tomorrow you may

not get a chance to rest.

Gee, did I do any good here? or just make things worse, oh well at least I

tried

LOL
