Lexi has had lots of seizures since even before she was born. I never thought

too much about it, since every kid gets the hiccups. then when she was about 3

months old we were in the neurologists office and she had yet another round of

hiccups. i made some cooment about it. he took a look at he and said, those

aren't hiccups those are seizures. Go figure!! They are a kind of deep hiccup,

not the gentle little baby kind and they almost always make her turn blue. I

tried heron Dilantin when she was tiny but she could not absorb it, and I was

worried about side effects. We are going back to neruo hopefully next month to

discuss other possible options for anti seizure. But the weird part (besides

hiccup seizures)is that she never has a change in mental status with them, is

100% with it, alert and oriented...inn fact she usually comes to me and asks for

her air tank when they start. So we have just kind of been letting them go

until she actually has a change in how they present. Hope this helps. does

your child have hiccup seizures too?
