Guest guest
I started throwing up regularly about a week and a half after surgery. When I eat things I am suppose to have I throw up, sometimes I throw up when I drink water. I can eat eggs one day but throw them up the next day. It's weird. I don't want to eat or drink for fear of throwing up. But you can't just stop eating and drinking without serious problems. I still want food. I still crave things but won't eat for the fear of throwing up. I've been through 3 upper GI's. All clear. The last one showed my esophagus spasms. So I thought they would do something about it instead they are sending me to have another test. Right now my body is in starvation mode because I'm hardly eating anything so my weight loss has stopped. I want to start feeling good so I can get my walking in and start my weight loss again. > Nauseous > > Hi everyone. Guest guest
Carol, I am 6 weeks out and have been nausous for at least the last 2 weeks. I have thrown up about 3 or 4 times. Went to the surgeon about the nausea, and he prescribed nausea medication. He said this is a fairly common side effect, that could last up to about 3 or 4 months. While I was there, there was another woman who was having the exact same problem, but she was vomiting more then I was.the Surgeon said the same thing to her. I also received a magazine today about wls, and it listed nausea as the most common side effect. Hope this helps. Ellen very greatful surgery 3/15/04 440/386/???? 54 lbs lost in the 6 weeks !!!! I was wondering if anyone else had this throwing up three weeks after surgery and what did they do. Sorry for the " sick " talk but I wanted to give you all the info to help figure out what is wrong or if this is normal. Thanks for any info you can give me.
