Guest guest
I was treated to lunch today at the Olive Garden. I thought I'd ask if they were serving whole wheat pasta yet and was pleasantly surprised to be told that, yes, whole wheat linguini can be substituted in nearly all dishes (not lasagna). GREAT! I ordered the Capellini Pomodoro with the ww linguini and thought for sure my order was wrong when it was delivered. The pasta looked like white pasta. It tasted like white pasta. I asked the waitress and she said, "Yes, this is ww linguini. Don't you think it tastes better than the stuff you buy at the store? It doesn't taste like cardboard!" I told her my ww pasta does not taste like cardboard and this didn't even LOOK different than the regular linguini. She double checked and confirmed it was whole wheat. I still didn't believe her (if it looks like a duck, sounds like a duck...) so I ate just a little bit of it and filled up on salad. I checked Olive Garden's website and it doesn't give much info other than the ww linguini is available. Has anyone else run into this at Olive Garden?
