Call 1-800-HEAR NOW which is an organization which donates refurbished

hearing aids (or supplies them at low cost) to people whose income is under

a certain amount. Also, call Miracle Ear - many are located in Sears Dept

Store. I believe they also have a foundation which provides aids free of

charge to those within a certain income bracket. I see where the

Audiologist ordered her the phonaks, but Miracle Ear has similar aids.

Subject: medicare and hearing aids for adults

Hi All:

I need some help. I finally talked my 86 yr. old

grandmother into having her hearing checked. She

lives about 850 miles from me so I could not take here

to the audi. She is on medicare and receives a small

check from social security. She has a loss and the

audi ordered her Phonak bte hearing aids (she is not

sure if they are analog, digital or digitally

programable.)
