Guest guest
What is meclizine? I forgot to take my Effexor on Sunday and had major withdrawal--so what you describe: I can relate to. I hope you're feeling better by now!! kayly Major dizzy day Man, I hate being this dizzy. I feel sick to my stomach and if I even slightly turn my head I feel like my head is gonna fall off. Yep, I take meclizine (sp?) but still. Yeck!! I really don't want to spend the day lying in bed, but it feels like I'm gonna have to. sigh Anyone have any ideas?? I know some on the list have the diziness also.

Guest guest
What is meclizine? It used to be prescription only, but now its over the counter. Its for dizziness and motion sickness. Yes, I'm still dizzy, if this doesn't let up I'm calling my doc back. I can barely walk today I'm so dizzy, and I'm shaking like a leaf. Guest guest
Meclizine is what they gave me immediately when all this started--it didn't work for me beause it bottomed out my BP. Guest guest
So far it isn't helping me much. I'm still dizzy, and I'm having trouble reading email. If I look right at what I want to read it looks like a jumble of letters, but I can read it out of the corner of my eye. If I'm not so dizzy I can read them fine. I guess its time to call the doc. sigh Theory of relativity: If you go back far enough, we're all related.
Guest guest
I can't read for long anymore, and when the wooziness and dizziness is on me not at all. But what you're saying about the jumble of letters makes me wonder if you are getting migraines of some kind. My aura before migraines is either blinking lights in my eyes or all the letters merging so that a word twenty letter long might look like about 8 letters, none of which are normal letters if that makes sense. Guest guest
OH--I get that with my migraines. I get a number of different types of migraines, luckily no longer very ofter. Well, lately I've had a couple that went on for three-five days, but I'm hoping that period of time is over. Kathy RE: Major dizzy day Kathy - I have migraines so I know what that feels like. I used to have them really bad, like you for days at a time. Where you just give up and go to the ER for a shot. Luckily they have better meds now that don't totally knock you out if you catch it in time.

Guest guest
I was on meds years ago when I got them regularly. Now once I get the aura I can usually stop them with tylenol, caffiene , an ice pack and a lay down. The ones I've had recently took longer to go away and then came back the next day and did that for several days in a row. I don't know what kicked them up again, but the muscle tension in my neck from pain had gotten really bad so that's most likely why. Maybe with these patches I'll go back to my usual one or two a year.
