Guest guest
Just keep on going. Try to be more strict with phase one cuz it's pretty important for resetting your blood sugar and getting rid of the cravings for that type of food. But each time you give into it, the cravings for them will return. So just try to not give in. The cravings for them do go away if you stick with it and don't give in. Carol Broke Diet: How do I get back on track? Today will be the first week I am on the South Beach Diet. I have been doing good I've lost 4lbs. but last night I slipped and I ate a twinkie and cookie, so have I totally ruined the first phase or do I now extend phase one? Help, What do I do now?Reminder: The South Beach Diet is not low-carb. Nor is it low-fat. The South Beach Diet teaches you to rely on the right carbs and the right fats-the good ones - and enables you to live quite happily without the bad carbs and bad fats. Guest guest
Keep going. Resolve to keep with the program. But I can tell you right now that I didn't loose 75 lbs. on the SBD by eating Twinkies and cookies (well OK maybe a couple Christmas cookies) LOL Chuck Broke Diet: How do I get back on track? > Today will be the first week I am on the South Beach Diet. Guest guest
---I would say 'neither'. You need to begin where you left off before the twinkie/cookie cheat and realize that you cannot have those things in the house, you aren't ready to handle them being there. You were not prepared to deal w/ the cravings you got so they got you instead. Did you have some Jello made? Do you have some herbal tea for a late night occupation? What was your 'plan' when you bought Twinkies? In my first days, I made some SF mints from cream cheese and splenda. I ended up throwing them out after the first night, because I could not portion control them and ate too much; yet this morning, after 3 months on this WOE, I cut up a left over cake my son's gf made for her friends and put it in the freezer so they could have it next time they come, and I did not do as much as lick my fingers and whats more important, it did not bother me, call me, appeal to me in the least and the frosting on it must have been a 1/2 " thick and it was chocolate cake. There IS life after your previous junk life, but you have to be strong and mature enough to get through 2 short silly weeks w/out blowing it. Its not like you can't or wont have anything sweet again for life, just not for 2 wks. Substitute instead by having more protein. Put parmasean cheese on your chicken breast sauteed in Olive oil, make it salty/crunchy. Make a portobello mushroom pizza with all the wonderful things you put on a 'normal' pizza. I made one yesterday. Sauteed the mushroom caps in EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) placed in a pie plate, topped w/ sf spag sauce, parm cheese, red fat mozz, bl olives, green peppers thin sliced and sauteed, oregano, and some pepperoni that I pre cooked to take some of the oil out. I baked it in a 350 oven for about 1/2 hr, and it was as flavorful, juicy, chewy, satisfying as any 'take out'. You just have to be smarter than your cravings, and KNOW that the old ways were just sucking you dry of your energy and potential to live a happier healthier life. Kay... Now drink some water, sit w/ pen and pencil and make a list of things you need at the store for the rest of Phase 1 menu. and get those Twinkies/cookies out of there. (I love the fact twinkies have so many preservatives in them, that they don't mold or rot) but last night I slipped and I ate a > twinkie and cookie, so have I totally ruined the first phase or d now extend phase one? Help, What do I do now?

Guest guest
I love making chicken breast by dipping it in Eggbeaters, then dipping it parmesan cheese and then baking it. It is so good! I also put it in soup. We had homemade beef barley soup tonight, and it was so good with a bit of parm cheese on top. ann Put parmasean cheese on > your chicken breast sauteed in Olive oil, make it salty/crunchy.
