well i went ta the herb store with my big list and

asked the guy for his oppinion...where should i

start...i told him that i'm on tons of enzimes and a

multi vitiman and lots of vit. c (yes i smoke too

much, my only bad habbit and my pharmisist said that

for every cig. you smoke you actually lose 25 mg of

vit c.)...well taking that in consideration and the

fact that i'm diabetic, he said that certain things

would screw up my sugars and this is what he suggested

after reading my 3 pages of notes and sugestions,

first thing he said is he didn't want ta sell me 400

bucks worth of stuff (like i could afford that) then

he suggested to start with this:

Methionine 625 mg - 2 pills 2 times a day on a empty

stomach

Sellenum 200 mcg - 1 pill 2 times aday

oh and i got the gingerroot pill just for the heck of

it...LOL 50 bucks later and i'm on a plan...see if it

helps

oh he also suggested something else...he dosent have

it right now but he gave me a website and told me to

check it out, but i don't know much about this

stuff...check it out and tell me what you think...

www.immunocal.com ...and click on Glutathione

well i'm not having a great nite and have to be at a

diabetic specialists appointment at 9 in the

morning...i'm gonna be one heck of a mess...hope ya'll

are having a painfree night

rose aka toosweet (to have this happening to me)

Dear Holley,

GNC doesn't always carry all the different herbs and supplements that

you may need. You will have better luck at your local health food

store or a natural nutrition store. They are listed in the phone book

under " Health Food Products-Retail " You will probably find numerous

natural health stores this way. The sales people are usually quite

knowledgable about what products they carry.

You can also go online to The Vitamin Shoppe or another company like

it and order online.

Hope this helps,

Amy

There is a physician in the UK who has been recommending the use of megadoses

of Vitamin E for CP.

Many thought he was plain crazy, but current thinking is in agreement with

him.

I came across his site a few years ago by using www.google.com.

I keyed in " chronic pancreatitis. "

There is a very active pancreatitis support group there as well.

I have found all the natural antioxidants in the quantities listed for

the Manchester Royal Infirmary Antioxidant Therapy, from a local

health store and pharmacy. They are capsules " free of corn,

yeast, soy, wheat and dairy products and are formulated without

the use of preservatives, artificial flavors or colors " and the

capsules themselves are called Vegicaps, made solely of

vegetable sources. Since I started taking them on a daily basis,

in the exact quantities listed in the study, I HAVE NOT HAD ANY

PAIN! Nothing, not a twinge, for over two weeks straight. I still

take my enzymes, too, when eating, but since I started the

antioxidants my pain meds have been collecting dust on the

bathroom cabinet.

I am so very, very encouraged by this, and I do hope that

someone else will try this out and have the same success. I

have my next ct-scan on the 5th and will meet with my doctor

after he gets the results. I'm anxious to see what he has to say

about my progress with this therapy.

With hope and prayers,
