Guest guest
It’s true what said--eyes not working together can cause you to get intermittent double vision (diplopia) and can make the letters look like they are moving around. Particularly if there is a small vertical misalignment of the eyes—one of those can actually make it harder for your eye muscles to compensate for any horizontal misalignment. Most optometrists screen for these types of problems during an exam, and will do additional testing on people with symptoms like you are describing. If it turns out your eye alignment, muscle coordination, and focusing skills are all normal, then it may be more of a brain processing problem (visual-spatial awareness). There are tests that can identify visual-spatial difficulties and there are activities that can be done to help with this. An optometrist that specializes in binocular vision problems (often they are also pediatric optometrists) or an occupational therapist who specializes in learning problems are good places to start. (mom to Evan 8.5 mos and an optometrist) Chantelle- One thing talked about was eye dominance and the eyes working together. If your eyes aren't working well together, it can make the letters jump on the page as you're describing. And it can cause trouble the directions of letters. Since it's new to me, it's more than I can explain in writing this late at night. Especially with Tim saying it's likely to do with vision, I am feeling even more confident that it is. --------------------------------- New Yahoo! Messenger with Voice.
