Guest guest
I know, I had a crazy moment where I thought.. "ahh, maybe they are right no gluten intolerance". WRONG! LOL! OKAY, so it is clearer now, thank you. I had no clue that damage cannot be detected. How does the endoscopy help in that case? just in the off-chance they do biopsy the right area? So why did the nurse or doc give my husband a printout on Celiac Sprue when they cannot detect it visually and it MAY well have been something else? Is that not presumptuous? All they knew was anemia I think. Thanks again, Cleo Re: symptoms but biopsy fails to reveal anything? If you feel better, stick with the diet! The biopsy may have not been taken from damaged areas or from what I hear some labs aren't very well versed in reading the results. I myself have not had the biopsy. My blood test numbers were so high and I had an immediate improvement on the diet that my doctor "diagnosed" me without a biopsy.
