Guest guest
Christy, They've never checked for H. Pylori? If that's pos, a few weeks of meds will make you feel better (maybe not well, but better than you feel now). And they've never done a CT of your abdomen & pelvis? I had to have that done, as well as my chest, before starting Remicade; then had the abdomen CT done again when I had an obstruction. Guess I just assumed that with your problems, they would do CT's of your abdomen regularly. -- a new point of view?? See, proof that a new doc can be a good thing. I finally made an appt with my primary physician (I've never seen him) and I saw another doc in the practice. Her name is Dr Chhina (pronounced Sheena) and she is fabulous! She looked at all of mt records, CTs, various other scans, xrays, labs, etc. and they've never ever done a CT of my abdomen and pelvis. She says (just guessing until results are back) the pain in my upper stomach/chest is my pancreas and that I have a tumor on my ovary. Hmmmm ok so she did her own labs (also checking for "h pyllori???" bacteria in my stomach which has never been checked) and I go Friday for a comprehensive CT of my abdomen and pelvic area. All this screwing around with specialists and it might be good to have a newbie take a look! Please pray, light candles, think good thoughts, whatever that this will be the answer! I can't take much more of this pain and my pain meds aren't touching it. Sge offered to give me morphine but I reminded her about my records. Been there, done that. The only answer is to increase the fentanyl and I'm not ready to do that yet. Guest guest
Nope, we've done all sorts of CT's and MRI's and xrays but never specifically of the abdomen or pelvis. Really strange when you think about it but each specialist wanted to see only "his" area. I really hope this is the answer. a new point of view?? See, proof that a new doc can be a good thing. Guest guest
Not even her estate can sue? That's just wrong. Kathy a new point of view?? See, proof that a new doc can be a good thing. I finally made an appt with my primary physician (I've never seen him) and I saw another doc in the practice. Her name is Dr Chhina (pronounced Sheena) and she is fabulous! She looked at all of mt records, CTs, various other scans, xrays, labs, etc. and they've never ever done a CT of my abdomen and pelvis. She says (just guessing until results are back) the pain in my upper stomach/chest is my pancreas and that I have a tumor on my ovary.
