Hi Mark, I thought maybe it was a good sign too, and I

took it as the depression was the only thing that they

needed to get investigated further before they make a

desicion, I'm hoping to hear something shortly after

this appt.

There are many people who go on disability because of depression. I

think conventional widom is that many are trying to take advantage of the

system. Maybe that's why they wnat you to go. I believe that depression is a

real and can be dibilitating. However if ther is someone who want's to cheat

the system it's an easier way to do it. No blood tests or x-rays. I know some

people that I believe have done this and it gets me angry, because I think it

makes it tougher for people who really suffer from depression. Sorry I want

on a tangent. It's the government you can't expect them to do everything

right.

> Rob, no I didn't think you were attacking me, I

understand about having those irrational unfocused

days because I get them often, there are people that I

have run across that have cheated the system, and it

does make me angry too, I just never realized that

depression was on the disabiblity list of disabilities

until I talked with my fiance's mother yesterday and

she told me a girl that lives down the street from her

got it just because of depression, I had no idea, goes

to show ya how much I know about this socail security

business, I always thought I would be healthy, at

least until I was old, and here I am with a damn

painful disease along with all kinds of other medical

problems at 28,makes me wonder what I'll be like at

50! I've been suffering with depression since I was a

teenager and have contiplated suicide many times, I

was always embarrassed to tell my doctor, until on day

a few months ago I started crying uncontrollably and

he gave me that depression check list and found that I

had major depression {and graves disease, which

contributes too}, and I think being sick just made it

worse, I take paxil now and it has helped some with

the mood swings and such, my thyriod levels are also

at the low end of normal at the moment, but I still

get that edgy jumping out of my skin feeling. sorry

about the long note here, I guess I needed to talk a

bit:} thanks for listening!

take care,
