Guest guest
I saw my PC today and I'm scheduled for an ultrasound of my R kidney and of my liver. He's hoping to find the source of my pain, and to see if the US will give us a better idea of what the hepatic lesions are. (It's possible, he said.) Whatever is causing the pain, I hope we discover it tomorrow and work on a plan of attack to stop it in it's tracks! It's always uncomfortable, but sitting or moving is a no-no! (Which makes life interesting!) As far as the lesions...at first he didn't seem overly concerned, but then he read the entire MRCP report, out loud, from 2006 and 2005. When he got to the end of 2005, and read that it clearly stated that they weren't there last year, he became a little more concerned. Then he looked at me for the longest time and admitted that with me, it was never good to take chances. If the US doesn't clarify things for us, he admitted that he wouldn't want to wait any longer than 6 mo. to do a repeat MRCP. However, he said, if ANY new symptoms arise then we'll repeat it right then. He mentioned numbness, but he didn't say where. That kind of freaked me out because a few nights ago both of my hands were tingling and almost completely numb! I got up and ran them under hot water hoping it was just lack of circulation, but it did nothing for the numbness -- it felt so weird drying my hands! Anyway the next morning they were fine. I didn't mention this because I don't want him to think I'm freaking out and going off the deep end. Besides, we're already doing what we can to make sure we don't miss something -- the numbness could be a bunch of things, I'm sure! I'll write more, when I know more.
