However, onelist didn't offer her choices of list messages? and everybody got the refusal message. Anyway she logged me in and apologized profusely...If you want to sign up for that list just try a quick note. Just my suggestion. Guest guest
A friend of mine is on a soap list that restricts to a certain number of members & the only way you can get on the waiting list. Then, if someone drops out, they notify the next one on the w/list that they can join if they are still interested. She said it's an awesome list, but I say " SO IS OURS!! Guest guest
Which group was this for? - Oops. Never mind. I see where you said you deleted that part. Sorry - no caffeine yet this morning. <G> But, yes. I have had a group where I've been denied membership. It's frustrating but in my case I understood. I had spoken out about what I felt were bad co-op practices by one person and it turned out that she was list mom of that particular list. Didn't know it when I requested joining. Guest guest
> Some lists are restricted and you need to know someone on list to recommend > you to join. Don't take it personally. I guess I wouldn't have minded if the letter just sounded differently. I'm already on that list with this email address and was not denied at first. I was in the process of switching my subscription over to my Hotmail account so I subscribed with that account and was gonna unsub with this one. I'm thinking they may not allow Hotmail users or something. Someone mentioned that the listmom's do not have any control over the content of the denial letters and that made me feel a little better. I think it would have been better if the letter had just said something to the effect of " we do not allow members with hotmail accounts " .... or " currently we must screen all new applicants to avoid unwanted spamming " ...etc. All I read was " this decision is final " . I admit, it made me a little sad, but's it's no biggie! I think I'll just go wash my hands! (Yes, I use any little excuse to use my handmade soap! hehehe). Bye y'all!
