My GF meets the counting rules for mineral derrangement. She had her

amalgams removed (8) a few days ago. Her main complaints other than

moodyness are weight gain that cannot be lost. She had hypothyroidism

as a child. How ever traditional (all of them) appear to be normal

now except for ultrasonic testing of her thyroid reveals nodules and a

goiter is extremely obvious around her neck. She also had other

symptoms of iodine deffciency like borderline diabetis, acne, dry

skin, acne rosacia, weight gain, goiter, sleepy, low energy etc etc

etc. Some websites say that you should never supplement without first

testing iodine. (VRP.com) Her latest tests indicate that her TSH is

almost hyper (lowish) and her T-3 (or T-4) is on the low end also

according to Cutlers book which is a inappropriate relationship.

What do you guys think? Can we supplement her with Iodoral (or

something like it)? I am sure if she is missing it, it will help its

just that some literature says that some people respond opposite.
