We have tried the Quaker's Q-Smart Chocolate Peanut Butter and they ate it, but did not love it.

I went out this morning and bought the Kraft South Beach Chocolate, but have not given it to them yet. I don't see any ingredient in the chocolate flavor that would not be ok. The peanut butter flavor contained barley-malt. Why do you think the chocolate is not gf? I would only give it to them if it is ok, so I'm going to call Kraft.

Thanks,

I just called Kraft and the chocolate flavor is gluten free. Yeah, I can't wait to have my boys try them.

Melonie,

Thank you. I just hope they like them. Their favorite bars were granola bars, which are not gf.

Have you tried Bumble Bars? www.bumblebar.com They're a bit pricey, but would be a good treat. I think you can get them at most HF stores.

Here is what they have say:

Food AllergiesBumbleBars are generally great for folks who have food sensitivities. BumbleBars are certified organic, gluten-free, wheat-free, and dairy-free. However, we do use non-gmo soy lecithin as a processing agent. Also, BumbleBars may contain traces of peanuts, as we handcraft all our flavors on the same line. Finally, we do not recommend the BumbleBars for diabetics.

I will buy the cinnemon raisin and have them try it since your kids love them so much. Do like eating raisins plain? Mine don't. If you get a chance would you read the ingredients on the chocolate box and then e:mail me your thoughts. Kraft said that there is no wheat, barley, or malt in them and I can't find anything else that would not be ok. Not having tried the cinnemon raisin to compare them to, I thought the chocolate ones tasted ok, especially compared to the recent bars we have tried.

Where I shop, they now have three stacks of the cinnamon raisin on the shelves (and they're almost always running out) and only one of each of the other flavors. These smell great and taste great. Give this flavor a try! (My three kids never agree on food items. Not even candy. This is the one thing I've had total success with. That's weird, I haven't seen soy lecithin on the labels. If it's

unlabelled, I'd get very angry. I buy them for my husband and I'm

highly allergic to all forms of soy. It would explain some

out-of-the-blue contact reactions.

Then again, maybe this is something new.

Wonderful, about the chocolate bars!!! I couldn't find an ingredient that wouldn't make them ok either. We will also try the cinnemon raisin. I'm saving them up for school, but I'll get back to you on it once they have tried them. We are also going to try the Hershey's Smart Zone bars which are gf.

EnviroKids bars are awful, but the cinnemon raisin that your kids like are wonderful. One of my sons loved it and the other liked it. This is the best flavor we have tried thus far. This weekend we are going to try the Hershey's Smart Zone bars. Since having gone gf, they don't always want to try new foods and I have to pick and choose a time when they are hungry to offer them something they have not tried before. We have been gf for 8 months now and they are doing so well. I am so proud of them. I'm sure you understand. Thanks for helping me find this breakfast bar.
