It was thin and watery, but I only had it around the time AF was due.

It almost pains me to remember the innocence of those times, how I

would run to the bathroom to check whether AF had come, and be so

relieved... If only I knew what lay ahead...

Do you use Robitussin to increase your ewcm? I had a friend that used it and

it really worked well for her. Her dr said just taking a normal dose once a

day would work and not put too much med. in her body. I've heard other dr

recommend up to 3 doses daily. My friend just had her little boy last month!

Pam,

That's such a nice thing, you're helping the future progress of IVF!

Hi a,

Thanks for making me laugh!!! Yes, they are growing like mushroom (and they

hurt like hell! Just kidding, but I can definitely feel them!!!). Yes,

that is mm. If they keep growing I may end up with basketballs in there...

My daughter is also 4 and begs me for a brother or sister almost

every day. It is so sad to hear her compare herself to her friends

who have siblings and then hear her say " Why does Taliana have

sisters and I don't!? It's not fair! I don't have anyone to play

with! "

And just a few months ago she hit me with " If I don't have any

brothers or sisters, when you and Daddy die I will be all alone! "

said with tears in her eyes....it was just awful.

So I know how you feel.....believe me. And when people start

questioning why I haven't " given " my daughter a sibling yet I am very

straight forward with them and explain that I had intrauterine

scarring as a result of a difficult birth with Hannah that has made

it very difficult to have more children and even after having the

scarring removed I have had 3 miscarriages but we are still working

at it....that usually SHAMES them into shutting-up!!

Hang in there!

a,

Hi, I'm one of the other UK ladies - we've " spoken " before.

Just a bit of background; I had a hyst last October in London and it didn't work

- all the scar tissue returned!I didn't find this out for definite (although I

knew myself) until April. I then deliberated, hummed and haahed, for a couple of

months and finally convinced myself into going to Germany for surgery with Dr G.

I had the hyst on 16th July - last Friday I had my first real AF for over 2

years (including pregnancy)!!!!!!!

I know that in the UK it's different to the US, where people are far more likely

to keep on changing their doctors until they find one that's best for them. In

the UK, the NHS culture just doesn't encourage that kind of thing - and so we

are even more wary of seeking advice further afield. It's a difficult decision

to make - going abroad, having an operation - but it's just so worth it!

Ask as many questions as you want about the practical aspects from the UK ladies

who have already been - I'm sure we'd all be happy to answer your concerns - and

then really, seriously consider going over to see him.

I'm not saying that all UK drs are no good - that's nonsense! - but as yet we

don't seem to have been able to find anyone who really knows their stuff where

AS is concerned. I would hate to see you go through IVF when you still have

scarring and take any risks.

Lastly, before I get off my soapbox :), my UK dr told me when I had my 1st hyst

that even though he had removed all the scar tissue, he hadn't managed to see my

tubes, and therefore even if the scar tissue didn't return (which it did!) I

would need IVF. Dr Gallinat handed me before I left Germany several photographs

of the inside of my womb with clear images of 2 clear, undamaged tubes.........

All the best

Louiza

Hello Louiza,

Thanks for filling me in on your wonderful success story concerning your trip to Germany. You definitely made the right decision to go and have made me more confident about taking that route if Mr. Lower from Barts Hospital (where I am being sent next!!) is not able to help.

I may well need a bit of assistance with some of the practical issues if this is the case and really appreciate your kind offer of help.

Thanks again and I'm so, so glad to hear your good news - it will help keep me feeling positive - I'm not ready to give up yet!!

Very best wishes,

a

Hi a

I am a UK member that is going to Germany next week. I too was going to be referred to Barts Hospital not sure of the doctors name though.

I just decided that I wanted to see an A list doctor after all the proding around for 3 1/2 years.
