Guest guest
Hey ladies, Another exciting weekend at the Gentile household ... I should start off by saying baby & I are both fine. I ended up in OB/GYN emergency saturday night from 11:30 to 4:30 am for intense, progressing abdominal pain - felt totally different than the cyst. We still have no idea what caused it - its still coming and going and freaking me out, but baby appears to be ok. I'm really anxious, and I know that's normal but it doesn't make things any easier. My doc thinks A) perhaps the cyst that we thought was gone, wasn't, and it ruptured, that my wacky uterus is simply going to be more irritable & painful than a normal one because of the fused part, C) that my scarred cervix is simply going to be more irritable & painful than a normal one, D) some combination of those three or E) none of the above. Nothing like a precise science, eh? What's really hard for me is that so many of my friends have seen a hb and then m/c'd days or weeks later. Now the pains are fewer but still fierce, not like the uterine-stretching pains I'd been feeling - some are even cervical, which totally freak me out. Other than that, I have a ferocious sinus & upper-respiratory infection (the second this month). Little one seemed great on the US - even jumped for DH :-) I won't get another US until after my cerclage on 12/4, but I'll be seeing him 11/26 for a manual exam and a doppler hb check. One other funky thing - my last pain emergency (remember the ectopic scare?) and this one were both on the full moon. Now, my cycles are usually pretty coordinated with the moon cycles, so I'm not ruling anything out. So keep sending the calming vibes my way :-) I'm always thinking of you guys! & the little one 9wks-ish
Guest guest
, Sending calming, relaxing, pain-free vibes your way!! I don't have any insight, I just know how scary the uncertainty can be. Hang in there, thank goodness you are both fine! I, like many others here, have you in my thoughts often these days and check in just to see how you are doing. All the best to you, here's hoping all this resolves and you get some answers - or better yet, some peaceful, uneventful weekends Lia UD

Guest guest
, I am so glad to read that you are doing well. I know it is scary but at least everything is okay so far. I had a similar situation when I was pg early on but it ended up well and my son made it past his due date. Hang in there and I hope the rest of the pg goes well for you. You have had your share of excitement for now. Kathleen, 31 t-shaped uterus

Guest guest
, Wow, it can never just be smooth - I'm so sorry for the stress this must be causing! I'm willing to bet your wacky uterus is just reacting a bit differnetly to the stretching and growing tht happens with the uterus in pregnancy. I am sorry that you are in pain - but good to hear baby is just fine. I know your fears are there, but having seen the HB twice is an EXCELLENT sign. Just take it one day, one milestone at a time. By the way: I had major cervical pain in early pregnancy. Weird, sharp, stretching, shooting cervical pain. But all was fine. Also, have you looked into homeopathic remedies for the sinus infection - it's very safe in pregnancy (and effective).
