Guest guest
ne, That sounds like it was not fun at all. Does sound like it's possible that it was some type of seizure, just because of the crying and going to sleep after.... and the fact that your usual calming techniques didn't phase her. I know, just what you wanted to hear, huh? Have you called the neuro? Patti, mom to Katera unusual behaviour ? seizure My daughter gaby has been on the diet now for several years. She has an underlying mitochondrial disorder, and has surprised us and many medicos with hergeneral state of health and seizure management on the diet. However recently gaby has developed a habit (?) of yelling loudly. Initially I thought this was behavioural (gaby has little speech and has developmental delay) but she would usually stop yelling if I sang to her (she loves singing) However today I took her to see Disney on Ice, and she started yelling (before we entered) and didn't stop for over 1 1/2 hours. No amount of singing would stop the yelling..then as the yelling subsided, she began to cry, then fell asleep. Does this sound like some form of complex/partial seizure to you folk?. Her seizures pre diet were myoclonic and absences. I have seen the odd ebsence lately . She lost ketosis for a few days last week (? why,as she is totally tube fed..), but with some formula modification, she is back into moderate ketones, and is otherwise well. This was a very unpleasant experience for her and us (as I aslo had 2 other children with me that I had to leave alone inside the complex while I took Gaby ousideto try and settle her..), and I felt so helpless. ne ,mum to Gaby, PDH, G Tube, keto diet, wheelchair dependant, CP,dislocated hips, and loves to sing!
