Guest guest Posted June 14, 2008 Report Share Posted June 14, 2008 Had chemo yesterday, very tired today. Not nauseated at this time, but they give you anti-emetics during the infusion. I will start taking them tomorrow, I am sure. Got the news that I will be doing at least 8 chemo total, maybe more. We may change types of chemo after 6 or may wait for the PET scan in Oct. (will do one in Aug also) after two more. If there are still tumors in my lung and liver, then we may have to change to a different type to shock the cancers into dying off. I will be listening to my doctor to get his recommendation and also will be discussing how much difference changing will actually make. There is still the possibility of radiation on the scapula when we get done with the chemo, whether it be 8 or 10 treatments. I did sorta know that I would not be done with chemo after 6, at least I had a warning up from that it could take 8-10 treatments. We all hoped it would not take that many. But, better to do the aggressive treatment if I can tolerate it and get rid of the tumors in my lung and liver before switching to something less aggressive. So, that is the latest update.
