Guest guest
Hi All, I have been lerking and I just wanted to make a comment. I also had my surgery by Dr. Reines in April and I also was told by Dr. Reines that he does make the pouch smaller. I am down 87 pounds. However, I can also eat alot more salad than a main course. I can eat half a sandwich, a few soy nuts, and a whole apple without any problem. However, I still have trouble eating meat. I threw up almost everyday for the first 3 months. It could of been because I was eating too fast, the pieces were too big, or the food was just not agreeing with me. Everyone is different after the surgery. We have no idea how our bodies will react. I also was on a plateau for 6 weeks. Its important to eat what you can and make sure that what you are eating is healthy and balanced. That I know is the same for all. Don't forget, its a tool, not a cure. Everyone still has to be in tune to what they are putting into their mouth. Just my 2 cents.
