Guest guest
has started to have pretty bad shaking in his hands. His GI sent him to a neurologist who found nothing wrong. My question is, can his failing liver cause this to happen? I was just wondering if anyone else has trouble with shaking. Also, his GI just called and said he had talked with the hep at Vandy about 's low albumin and the problems we have been having. He is in the hospital about every 2 weeks now due to the ascites. His MELD is a 20 and we are just waiting. Anyway, he is sheduling an ultrasound and an MRI for tomorrow. He also asked about the number of times is going the the bathroom. I told him that was hard to say because of the J Pouch some days he goes more. He thinks that could be part of the low albumin. Any comments? Guest guest
, I have noticed my husband's right arm shakes at times. We have never addressed this problem with his doctor, but I plan to bring it up at his next visit. Also, he has increased urination lately. However, his MELD count is still considerably low - only an 8. Janice Peace wrote: has started to have pretty bad shaking in his hands. His GI sent him to a neurologist who found nothing wrong. Guest guest
Hi ; I'm sorry to hear about 's problems with ascites, low albumin and hand shaking. It's possible that the hand shaking could be due to his failing liver. Hand tremors seem to be a sign of hepatic failure, and is called " Asterixis " ; more commonly known as " liver (or hepatic) flap " . http://www.tcd.ie/tsmj/2000/Asterxs.html I hope that this helps.
