Guest guest
, I wouldn't go back to phase 1, since you found it hard and felt deprived. Why don't you try phase 2 foods that don't tempt you so much? Maybe have stuff like brown rice and whole wheat bread and berries and apples instead of the tortillas and popsicles. ann < > I am have a hard time on SB now since starting phase 2. Guest guest
ann- That is the problem, I have been eating the brown rice, etc. But it just makes me hungrier. I honestly don't understand why I find this so hard to follow. It must be the lack of time and stress do to school, not sure. But it is really starting to bug me. It is the same problem I always have. Once I start eating it is so hard to stop. I have a dog like that, he just eats and eats and eats. His beady eyes are always begging for more. He is like the vacuum, goes around and will eat anything crumb he finds. Sometimes I feel like my dog! Re: craving carbs ,I wouldn't go back to phase 1, since you found it hard and felt deprived. The purpose of Phase 1 is not weight loss -- it is to realign blood chemistry and eliminate cravings. The weight loss is a side effect -- pleasant, true, but nonetheless a side effect. If you're getting cravings again or have just had a bit of a binge, then you may benefit from returning to phase 1. Guest guest
That's why I don't think redoing phase 1 would be helpful for , since she would feel deprived. I think some people can eat " cheat " foods and be okay, but others can't. My husband cheats like crazy on Sundays, and then sticks to what he's supposed to eat the rest of the week. He can do it. If I did that, I'd continue eating the wrong things all week. I know I can't do it. has problems controlling herself, so I think cheating would only defeat her purpose. Right now, she needs to learn to stop overeating, not eat foods that will trigger even bigger binges. ann > and ann > > > > There is an old Jewish saying that fits. > > > > I am willing to live now like you wont, so one day I will live like you wont > have the ability. Guest guest
, I have heard other people say they can't eat the artificially sweetened stuff because it causes them to crave sugar. You aren't the only one I've known who has said that. So, I think it makes sense. Maybe you need to avoid that stuff for now. Does even the jello trigger the cravings? ann < > Sara- > I didn't eat the whole box in one sitting. I said I had eight over the weekend. Meaning from fri-Sunday and I am allowed 75 cal of sweet. They are 35 cal each. I had two tortillas and these are the high fiber no fat type at 60 cal each. All I am trying to point out that I find it HARD. But I am working at it. You are lucky that will power is easy for you.
