Guest guest
Ivana, It is good that you are able to share your deepest feelings with the group. This will indeed help you. You know, what you are feeling about being afraid to hear your doctor say "no more children" is the same fear that I had and I believe I am speaking for ALL the women in this group, but you cannot stop just because you might hear these words. There is a saying "The best way out is through". You need to go through this in order to get out of it. If your doctor tells you that you cannot have any more children, then by knowing that, you can finally come to terms with it. It won't be easy, quite depressing really but at least you will be able to "move forward" with your life. It's just the same as saying you won't cross the road in case you get run over by a car. You can't stay on that side of the road forever. You need to take the risk and cross the road. You have to take that chance and cross the road. As for my situation, Yes I am now scar free. My problem is that the first surgeries may have caused me more damage to the uterus because my doctor did the hysteroscopy by not using scissors but instead he tried to remove the scarring by the same instrument used in a D & C!! He didn't tell me this nor did I question this because it was before I started this group. I did see it from the HSG video which I requested from him. During this procedure, he may have removed some endometrium although I am not 100% sure of this because I don't know what the situation was before the surgery. I had such a bad infection after I had retained placenta that the first doctor may have removed endometrium during that D & C. Who knows. I do have periods now although they are light and my last one only lasted a day. I haven't taken any estrogen/progesterone for a long time now after I gave up but on Monday, I plan on getting an u/s to see if my lining has improved somewhat and then want to take a high dose of estrogen as some of the other ladies in the group have taken. Dr Gallinat did not give me such a high dose of estrogen as have the other A list doctors given to their patients. I think that the US doctors tend to give higher doses than the European ones. Something you might like to discuss with Dr Gallinat. Thanks for letting me know about Dr Vancaillie. I'm sure he is a busy doctor. Perhaps in the future he may take an interest in our group. Guest guest
Dear Poly, Thank you for your words! With my mind I know you're right, but emotionally is hard. I will cross the road anyway. Concerning estrogen you're completely right, and for my experience Italians doctors don't gives any hormons if your hormons blood tests are fine because they say that if your body produced by himself is not use to take more. I don't agree with this because I think that to an higher stimulation MIGHT respond and higher production and side effects are little for short term treatments. As for you, how long ago did you had your HS with Dr.Gallinat? Did you gave up with the hope to have children on your own or are you still "working" on it?
