Guest guest Posted July 28, 2003 Report Share Posted July 28, 2003 Hi. My name is . I am a seventeen year-old with an underbite, and I have 9 days left until my surgery. Both my upper and lower jaws will be moved. I haven't really prepared myself for this at all. Is there anything I should do to make this process easier for myself and my family? Also, I am very nervous about the final result of the surgery. I have always been very conscious about my underbite. I have avoided mirrors and cringed at pictures througout grade school and highschool. Although I have no confidence in my appearance, I am afraid that I will only look worse or that there will a dramatic change and I will have no identity.
