Hair Test Changes

What you can hope for after a year or two (if you're lucky), is that mineral

transport will normalize. After that you keep chelating a bunch more

until symptoms resolve and you can get off supplements.

I can tell you that my toxic elements increased after a year of chelation and

my essentials got even lower. But as to what others can expect, who knows.

I am just approaching 1yr of DMSA/ALA, 25/50mg. My toxic elements

have continually dropped and are very low on a HMA, lead slowly,

mercury rapidly. Essentials are not normalised yet. Probably all in

the organs now and slowly coming out. Going to move on with ala only

for the next 50 rounds and see how things go. For me interesting

thing was if I had continued exposure to a metal it would always show

in the HMA after around 3 months, so for me testing every 3 months

helped because I have now eleiminated all toxic sources which got rid

of other slight issues like arsenic and aluminium

TK--- depends on a lot of factors

TK-- you will not be able to track this accurately if at all, it is

going to vary a lot. Hg hair levels I would [think] go down with

time as it gets bound intracellularly and is no longer available to

excretion in the hair, mine did.

Would it be possible for us to view a progression of your tests?

I can remove your name and put them all up here for us to see:

http://www.livingnetwork.co.za/healingnetwork/hairtest.html

I would love to see what has happened.

If so please send them to me.

Thanks,

I found all sorts of things like using foil while cooking- aluminium.

arsenic seemed to drop right down after dropping my bottled mineral

water which was volvic, before then it was always highish. Copper is

known to be high in avocado's, I can eat 1-2 a week any more and my

copper goes red on a HMA after about 3 months. I think those were the

main ones

I have done about 10 hair tests each for myself and my daughter,

roughly every 2 months to track copper. It took about 1.5 years of

chelation for each of us to stop meeting any counting rules. I

attribute this to both chelation and supplementation. I certainly

don't think either of us are anywhere near done. Hair tests don't

tell if your brain has mercury.

Along the way, we've seen huge variation in lots of the essential

elements. We haven't consistently met the same counting rules. Some

tests were all low and that probably improved with taking digestive

enzymes, betaine Hcl, etc.

Other things we've seen:

Lead has gone way up. Apparently this happens as lead leaves your

bones with chelation. My daughter's lead is currently 12.

Uranium has gone up and come down. I attribute this to both of us

starting to take iron supplements. Uranium is also stored in the bones.

Thyroid and adrenal problems that resolved with appropriate supports.

Manganese got very high for me, so I stopped taking supplements that

had it.

Molybdenum is currently very high for me. I've supplemented it

heavily for a long time due to high hair copper and low plasma

sulfate. I'm tapering back on that.

Nickel was off the charts red (9.4) for me in 2002. About 2.5 years

later just before I started chelation, it had come down to mid-yellow.

I have no idea why that happened. My only guess is that I might have

been eating too much hydrogenated fat in 2002.

Neither of us show much mercury. My autistic daughter showed yellow

mercury on one test about 6 months after starting chelation, but other

than than it has been fairly low green for each of us. Right now,

neither of us shows any measurable mercury in our hair. Since we

haven't done a whole lot of ALA we might not yet have gotten the 2nd

peak of mercury excretion that is shown on pg. 52 of Amalgam Illness.

Total toxic elements was pretty random. When lead and uranium started

coming out of our bones, that was good, but total toxic elements went up.

Thank you so much for posting about all your hair tests, W, and your

daughter's. I don't think many people have had that many done, so it is very

interesting to read about the changes you have seen. I have also been

supplementing molybdenum for a long time because of low plasma sulfate, and that

is another reason I really need to do another hair test soon, to see if any of

these levels have significantly changed.

Sure ,

I have posted it as Hair Test 48

http://www.livingnetwork.co.za/healingnetwork/hairtest.html

Please send me your location - city and country

I managed to convert it into PDF. The PDF format is helpful because it takes up

much less space meaning I can store more tests and keep them up to refer to

indefinitely.

That is why Direct Labs is good to order hair tests through because they email

you the results in PDF format. Then we can just take the front page and upload

it.

Anybody else is welcome to post their hair test too if they would like.

I hope we can all learn from them.
