Guest guest
C- I take 30 mg of prevacid 1-2x daily. The diarreah problems are the same regardless of dosages. It is especially bad after I eat - I seem to eat my last bite and have to run for the bathroom. There is also a huge correlation between stomach pain and emotional state. (Duh, right). This year has been the year from hell.. If I may share- My younger brother was hit by a WalMart truck and almost killed. Now he is injured, depressed and broke. I had to fly down to FL to help out. My father in law was gunned down on his mail route by some anti-government nut case. I had to fly down to Atlanta to help out. My apartment was deemed uninhabitable because of toxic black mold; we were given 24 hours to pack up and move (I have a five year old, too) I dumped a good friend because she slaps her child in the face for stupid things and I couldn't be around it anymore. (I am actually proud of myself for this one) I was dumped by my endo because I refused to stop taking armour. I got the nerve up to confront my dad about my stepmother's abuse toward me and he denied he knew (bull) and told me he was glad I got it off my chest. Then he never called me back. I got to apologize for bringing it up to him. Lucky me! I also think I may have been violated by the last GI doc I saw. He did the most horrific breast exam ever and he removed my bra himself and undid my jeans and pulled down my underpants with no robe, no nothing. No nurse in the room, no nothing. He never even palpitated (sp) my abdomen, he just told me I had stomach pain because I was abused as a child. I haven't really told anyone about this because I feel so stupid because I am so large, but it has really upset me. I can't even think about it or I start bawling. I am afraid, in the past few days, that I am a complete hypochondriac. I don't even know if I am crazy or my docs are lazy or what!! My docs keep trying to convince me to do weight loss surgery - and I don't want to!!! I just think something else may be wrong and malnutrition doesn't sound like a cure at this point... I am so bummed..... But I am still a great mom and that counts for something, right???????? I read, play games, watch cartoons - that is my goal each day. I have to be a good mom, no excuses.. I know many of you have empathy for that! I don't have stomach cramps like I am sick (like food poisoning diarreah). Proceed with caution = Rude humor straight ahead = It is always like I am peeing out of my ass..... Rude humor finished = proceed = I am really reactive to salycilites (aspirin, pepper, pepto bismal, etc..) and eggs. I have some other food allergies that supposedly cause delayed reactions - but it is most food. I think I can eat potatoes and chicken with salt only if I cut out all supposed allergens. I eat a little breakfast, smallish lunch and bigger dinner. I think it is because eating makes my tummy feel better while I am actually eating (before and after, it hurts.. weird, I know). So my tummy hurts worse as the days goes on therefore I eat more as the day goes on. My pills go like this: 7:00 AM 2.25 grains armour 27 concerta (stimulant for exhaustion) 8:00 AM antidepressant prevacid breakfast 1:00 PM lunch 6:00 PM dinner prevacid My docs say my tsh, free t4 and free t3 are fine. the group says I still am highish on free t4 and free t3. my hands and feet are still frozen, but my tsh is so low and my docs have put the fear of God into my mind about too much thyroid med even though I have not felt the hugh change I have been hoping for. Whhoooo.. That was a mouthful. > > Dear Misty, > The proton pump inhibitors will cause diarrhea if > taken in big enough doses. > > I was hospitalised after collapsing with the pain of > severe gastritis and oesophagitis and was not > allowed > to eat anything for 7 days. Look not mournfully into the past. It comes not back again. Wisely improve the present. It is thine. Go forth to meet the shadowy future, without fear. -Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (1807 - 1882) __________________________________ Yahoo! Music Unlimited Access over 1 million songs.
