When do you test a child for celiac disease?

My daughter is almost 2 and has been having tummy troubles for the last

month. Her pediatrician referred us to a gastroenterologist but said

that he didn't think they would test her for celiac. Her daddy has

celiac so there is certainly a possibility that she has it too. I

would rather know sooner rather than later so that we can modify her

diet before it does damage.
