Is there anyone on here that is 45+ years that have had this

surgery? I would love to hear about your experience. I ask for 45+

because the older we get the harder and longer healing takes.

Thank you! Lynne

I had lower advancement and sideways movement last summer, at the age

of 56. Had an easy recovery, actually, and have no residual numbness

at all.

Hi Lynne,

I'm 51 and had lower and upper advancement 2 weeks ago. I'm doing

pretty well. The Dr. said I bruised more than usual. and I still have little

energy. But I have an understand man and I'm resting a lot.

Hi Lynne,

I'm close to your age - was almost 47 when I had my upper/lower/genio

surgery last August. I didn't find the recovery hard at all. My

experience is posted on the geocities site at

http://www.geocities.com/orthognathicinfo (PERSONAL SURGERY

EXPERIENCES), but I'd be glad to answer any questions you might have.

I've had a few compliments about how much younger I look as a result

of the surgery, including a friend of the family I met recently

overseas who thought I was 30 years old (maybe she needs stronger

glasses!). My sister, who is one year older than me, is p*ssed as

hell about it " when are you going to start looking your age? " heehee!
