Guest guest
Hi all, For the most part I've got my rosacea " under control " . Not great, but tolerable. As long as I stick to my diet, take my supplements, and use my topical meds, my face and eyes are okay. Not as good as in my " pre-rosacea " days, but ...okay. I've found that I never really " cure " my rosacea. There are times when my face is looking really good, and I think " Hey, I'll just...(fill in with any of my known triggers) " and as soon as I do, my rosacea comes roaring back. It seems to me that everything we do to " cure " rosacea merely treats the symptoms. From antibiotics to Zinco, it's all aimed at diminishing the effects of rosacea. These treatments are sometimes effective, but they're never a real cure. So where's the hope in all this? I think that there is some underlying " cause " for rosacea. All the other " causes " like food triggers, stress, heat, allegies, leaky blood vessels, etc. are just manifestations of the underlying disease. My hope for 2001, is that we find the real cause, and of course find the real cure. -Max
Guest guest
Max - I am hopeful too! That's what keeps me going and saves me from major depression. I can live with all the lifestyle limitations if I just keep convincing myself that a cure will come out one day. I always think about how I could not wear open toe sandals for years due to nail fungus and then a cure came out - Sporonax! Now I can proudly display my toes in the summer again. Let's all keep the hope alive! Fran - Randon thoughts/hopes for 2001 Hi all, For the most part I've got my rosacea " under control " . Not great, but tolerable.
